Energy Purchasing Strategies
We recommend a natural gas purchase strategy for the coming purchase period based on forecast need, the current natural gas price trend, and market forecasts. We base the natural gas need on previous natural gas consumption records, and, if several years of information are available, we can normalize consumption for weather and calculate the average to provide a likely gas consumption forecast. Load Forecasts

Primary to any resource management/acquisition decision, a load forecast provides an estimate of future use, identifies changes in resource requirements, and highlights uncertainties around those changes.
